The city of Atlanta has seen its share of history and managed to emerge as an important city in the United States. In its more recent history, Atlanta has grown steadily since the early 1970s and is now the third largest metropolitan area in the South and the ninth largest in the country. This is quite a significant accomplishment for what was once considered a sleepy Southern town in the 19th century. Many major corporations and smaller companies have been attracted to this economic center.
Atlanta is the world headquarters for such powerhouses as The Coca-Cola Company, Turner Broadcasting, UPS, Delta Airlines, the Home Depot and AT&T Mobility. In fact, Atlanta boasts the nation’s third highest concentration of Fortune 500 companies within its metropolitan area. At least 75% of the Fortune 1000 companies have regional offices in the greater Atlanta area as well.
With such a concentration of home offices and headquarters, there are bound to be a lot of corporate relocations to Atlanta. Furniture rental in Atlanta can make a relocation or a special assignment go a bit more smoothly. While it can be difficult to move to a new home for work, renting quality furnishings can make the move a little more comfortable until you can get settled into a new home.
